Butterfly Pansy!

Oh I am LOVING this new technique. The results are amazing, and it's not a tonne of work for a gorgeous result!!  I have seen these all over the internet, and so put my hand to it this morning before work.  Most samples I have seen use Eggplant Envy, but I don't have that colour reinker (I do however, happen to own THREE Night of Navy reinkers! LOL).  So I went searching the net for other colours of pansy.

This pansy is called the "cheeky faced blue pansy" and it fit right in with the reinker colours I have!!  So this is what inspired the pansy card below:

SUPPLIES:
cardstock:  Night of Navy, Shimmery White, Summer Sun
ink:  night of navy, summer sun (reinkers and markers)
stamps:  Well Scripted (from Occassions Mini, now out of print, but hopefully it makes it to the new catty!)
accessories:  Big Shot, Top Note Die, Butterfly Punch, Wide Oval Punch, White taffeta ribbon** (it's there, dyed Night of Navy!!), silver brad, Manhattan Floral embossing folder, aqua painter

**So I wanted to add a bit of 'pizzaz" to my card, and I have the awesome new white taffeta ribbon.  It didn't show up against the shimmery white paper.  What's a girl to do?! Dye it!!  I started using the rinker, but I didn't have a container to put it in, so I whipped out the Night of Navy marker and coloured it.  Turned out FANTASTIC!!  Once the ribbon was dry, there was no ink transfer, now, if it gets wet, it's anybody's game, so we'll just keep our cards and scrapbook pages dry now :) LOL  What a great way to get the ribbon of your choice of colour for ANY project you are working on!!!

Enjoy the day, and don't forget about the contest - a little comment love gets you another entry in the contest! :)

See ya!

Wow! That is so cool. Such a clever, out-of-the-box way to look at your tools in a new way.
